What is Cantabile Batch Editor?
Cantabile Batch Editor (CBE), is an application that allows you to perform modifications to several Cantabile songs or setlists at once. It does this by editing the data files themselves, so it is completely independent of the Cantabile application. You don’t even need Cantabile installed on the same PC to use it. Cantabile stores data as JSON, which is a simple, human-readable format. This makes it fairly easy to edit the song and setlist files, but doing so manually, one-at-a-time, is tedious. CBE makes it simple and quick!
What can it do?
Lot’s of things that you always wished you could do, but weren’t worth the effort:
- Create a consistent color scheme for all of your racks, plugins, and states
- Replace all of those hideous Fuchsia colored objects (for example) with a different color
- Color all midi routes the same as the object they route to
- Rename/delete a rack and update all song files that reference it.
- Rename/delete a song file and update all setlists that reference it.
Is it safe?
CBE has several layers of protection against data corruption, including an automatic backup feature and the ability to open all modified files in Cantabile to make sure they load properly.
How much does it cost?
This is the best part! CBE is free. No ads, no registration, no email required. I created this for my own use and figured others would benefit from it as well.
